Schools Australia introduces Falls Road Primary School in Lesmurdie, for all your education and learning needs.
Falls Road Primary School is located in the Darling Range, 30 minutes east of the city. It was built in 1979 and officially opened on November 14th, 1981.
Our school is situated in a bush setting that provides a lovely, natural playground for the students. The school also provides purpose built play areas such as basketball and netball courts; cricket, soccer and football ovals and climbing equipment for the students. Students are also encouraged to interact and play within the natural environment. Being set amongst the bush and through careful selection of plants, the school encourages many native birds to visit. The surrounding community is semi-rural.
In 2011 we became an Independent Public School. The main benefits of this are that we have more control over staffing vacancies and all of our funding is through a One Line Budget. We also plan to look at the opportunities provided by some other flexibilities such as managing our Relief Staffing and our Utilities (Gas, Electricity and Water ) from 2012 on.
We have excellent facilities at the school with a wonderful enclosed hall for assemblies and community events. In 2010 we added a Music / Art multi purpose building and sound proof room dividers to all class rooms as part of the Building the Educational Revolution Program.
We are committed to achieving high standards of student achievement and identifying the degree of value adding. We support this through a comprehensive cyclical process underpinned by a detailed analysis of student data. This ensures that student academic achievement continues to improve.
Our mission is to provide a positive educational environment which facilitates, supports and extends all facets of student development. This is supported by our four core values of Learning, Excellence, Equity and Care.
Welcome to Falls Road Primary School one of the popular educators in your Lesmurdie area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
