Schools Australia introduces University Park Primary School in St Albans, for all your education and learning needs.
University Park Primary School is a great school. It is situated in the City of Brimbank, opposite the St Albans Campus of Victoria University. The school is located between an established residential area, and extensive new housing sites in the suburb of Cairnlea, 20 kilometres west of Melbourne. We provide a caring and rich school environment, and have done so since opening in 1972.
As a small school with just under 200 students we pride ourselves on being a school of excellence, where students can achieve their full potential in literacy and numeracy development as well as across a broad range of key learning areas. There is a whole school approach to the teaching of literacy and numeracy, supporting students in need, whilst also providing additional opportunities for more able students. Teachers work with literacy and numeracy coaches from the Western Metropolitan region to ensure that teacher practice reflects the current research.
The school provides its students with the technological, social and academic requirements to become life long learners and productive adults in our community. The school’s motto of “Learning Together – Achieving Success” is reflected in its team approach to teaching and learning. Low class sizes is a feature of the school and the school offers a range of co and extra-curricula programs including Westside arts, school band, arts program, music programs, interschool sport, environmental program and an after school program.
Welcome to University Park Primary School one of the popular educators in your St Albans area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
